If you enjoyed his earlier maps, and I just know you did, (or I would have to check you for a pulse) then you are going to absolutely love this one! skm has returned to us to make available his third work of art!
The Resort takes place in a large mountainous area, where a research facility has been captured by the North Koreans. Your mission is to reconquer the American research facility and to guarantee that the Aggressor Troops obtain as little to no information as possible about it. However, the conclusion of this mission may not be what you expect...
Some of the features of this map include:
Very detailed and realistic environment
4km² free accesible mountain area
~ 2 hours playtime
Story with 13 Mission objectives
~ 11500 objects (no Vegetation, just Decals, Brushes, Clouds, Particle effects....)
A big lake with two islands
Rampant rock ways
Physical enigmas (They´re optional, you have to find and solve them to get more powerful weapons)
Epic Story with ~ 20min cutscenes and Script sequences
Various gameplay with ~ 270 enemies and tactical fights
Fights at day - and nighttime
Many other detailed things and places to explorer
You´ll travel through very beautiful and various types landscape with lots of detail as you journey through The Resort ...there will also be an opportunity to do some exploring, and yes, there will be a lot of ']i[things' to investigate. By following the story you´ll decide how difficult the fights are. You can solve little physical problems and get more powerful weapons...or not, and you must look how the best way to survive is. If you think you have what it takes to complete this mission, then your first objective is to locate and put to use, the download link!
skm has also released a video flythrough, so you can see what to expect:

I really enjoyed this one, and others by skm. looking forward to more
The Map is totally awesome, and the shootouts are even more exciting than normal Crysis Maps...
But where is night vision ? I cant see wack through the jungle, in the objective where u have to kill the scientists...
There isnt even a flashlight, and its impossible to climb that plateau at all...
This is a beautiful map that the creator has surely spent countless hours creating and put a lot of blood and sweat into (kudos and respect) -- However, it suffers from a number of mission design flaws.
While the cut scenes look complex and original, they became tedious after the first initial ones, and dare I say, the grammar is not even mediocre (I am multilingual myself so I demand more from fellow multilinguals).
On occasion, you die a brutal and frustrating death as enemy troops have surrounded you whilst watching a cut scene.
Onto the music.
It plays constantly and therefor it's hard to hear enemy troops, and it distracts you from taking in the beautiful landscape.
If not for these cons -- I'd be more then happy to give this beautiful level another go without getting so frustrated not even half way through the experience to keep going.
If you enjoy open area combat, long cut scenes and don't mind a few unnecessary deaths here and there, then I highly recommend this level!
If you run the level in Warhead you get auto ammo pickup which makes the early stages a lot easier. You can also run in -devmode and issue an e_time_of_day 11.00 command, I found it impossible to play in total darkness.
Great Map. I love the action. I got to the waterfall where you're supposed to take out the sicentist but can't figure out how to get up to that level. Can anyone out there let me know...
