| Savanna2Jungle - File Description |
 |
Description: This is an excellent Single Player map made by a first time CrysisFiles developer: bgavran3. This map is well designed and comes complete with the much anticipated potential for some serious Crysis action! You'll be amazed by the the goodies that are included with this map, along with the numerous features that are incorporated into Savanna2Jungle...my favorite being the fact that there are several ways of completing the mission!
Some of the features of this map include:
- Extremely detailed environments
- Custom tod with full day-night cycle
- Objectives (both primary and secondary)
- Cutscenes
- Big replay value (different cutscenes, gameplay)
- Non linear gameplay (lots of ways to accomplish the mission) with HUGE flow graph
- A chase scene in the beggining of the map where you'll have to escape koreans
- And maybe a chase scene at the end of the map
Refer to the readme for more information.

INSTALLATION GUIDE:
Extract both mods and game folder to your Crysis directory. After that you have 2 options:
1. Right click your Crysis shortcut and click properties. In the Target area add this text:
-DEVMODE -MOD Savanna2Jungle
Start Crysis and type "map Savanna2Jungle" (without quotes) in the console.
NOTE: You wont be able to connect to any MP servers while you have "-DEVMODE -MOD Savanna2Jungle" in the Target area. So you'll have to remove that text each time you want to play MP and put it back when you want to play my mod
2. Make a copy of your Crysis shortcut, rename it to Savanna2Jungle or any name you want, repeat the step 1 on the copied shortcut. Now you're able to play my map by clicking on the Savanna2Jungle or whatever you named it and Crysis MP by clicking on your original Crysis shortcut
Thx everyone who participated in the beta! | |

Man I cant get it to install. I put what it says into the target field and it gives me this message saying something like "not a valid target" or something like that. Is there another way to install it?
This map, while visually well made, suffers from a lack of good functionality. There are no objectives shown on the map, so you have to pay attention to the messages that show up in your hud, and if you miss them, you have to reaload in order to see what your next goal is.
Additionally, some of the events seem not to trigger properly. In one part at the very beginning where you have to destroy the AA, a message comes up reading "The VTOL is on the way!". Seeing this, I stopped and waited for said VTOL...and waited, and waited, and waited...and nothing happened! After about 5 minutes waiting for the VTOL, I decided to start wandering aimlessly, found my way into a part of the jungle, and got killed by koreans...wonderful.
Fix your scripts and I'll give it another shot.
There are working objectives, you didn't install the mod properly, thats why its not working
very very nice map 10/10
As brilliant as this looks it makes me wonder...How many people out there actually have a computer strong enough to run this smoothly?
Gonna give it a download for sure though.
Brutal suffering, crysis is no match for me i run at very high setting at the highest resolution (for me 1680*something i cant remember) and i get an average FPS of 35 in the GPU benchmarking test and 33 in the CPU benchmarking test.
i run a 8800gts oc and a q9450.
Hey dude,
Nice attempt. But I do have a few issues with the map.
1. there are no clearly defined map objectives. several times Prophet tells you to go to the objective but there's nothing visible on the map. You end up just following the map topography or wandering round like a bloody idiot till you find a track.
2. the text you have written disappears way too quickly. Half the time when they are 'speaking' you can't catch what they've said.
3. The savanna grass must have been a nightmare to lay down as there's so much open ground. But, you've missed large chunks of grass in quite a few places. It's not a gripe - I just thought I'd let you know.
4. It's a bit long. I ended up quitting the map as I still hadn't reached the end after scaling a high peak. And with all those trees and hills around, it's easy to get hopelessly lost. I'm thinking that was the idea.
Good effort.
Looks Like Far Cry 2
