City Assault (v1.2) - File Description

Description:
We have something new for you from a developer that is new to CrysisFiles; jlim has released a sweet looking Single Player mod that will quench your thirst for Crysis action!

City Assault comes with an added weapon and some new improved cutscenes to add to the adventure; Along with some altered gameplay and more fun in the Single Player map. To add a little more demention to your gaming, the developer has also included what is needed for you to enjoy this map in the Instant Action gamemode as well!
The features of this map are:
    • A City Environment
    • Custom buildings
    • Custom props
    • Custom weapons
    • Advanced AI

There is no radar to be found on the HUD, however, you can bring it up by pressing the TAB key, and to make things a little more less accommodating, jlim has geared this map so that the cars and tanks are not usable, but, they will still blow up, so be careful when choosing your objects for cover...If you want to increase the level of difficulty of City Assault, then try getting in and download the data in the NK base without killing anyone. Then you will have to survive 5 minutes against 100+ AI. A helpful hint for you while you attempt to complete this level...save often wink

At least one more pic would have been great. But judging from the background of that pic, I think it's gonna be great.

Uh. I have the same question. Which map?

This seemed like it would be a cool, fun map. Until I found several messed up textures (on the custom weapons and buildings), low-quality dialogue, custom vehicles that did *not* blow up as expected, and Marines that didn't help at all (one of them went around shooting at *me*!). I first played with the day setting, and found that I could not do it quietly without using the messed up custom weapons (since there were no attachment pickups for the default weapons). I got killed (thanks for the help, Marines) and was sent back to the beginning of the level. I selected night instead, without Marine support, took the G18 with silencer, and found that the flashlight was a static circle of light directly in front of the player, rather than the realistic working flashlights of the default weapons. I quietly took down one NK, and then another, until they finally noticed something was happening. I expected a big firefight, but did not get it. Any guesses as to why? None of them had weapons. Nearly every NK soldier (and every Marine placed on the map) was completely unarmed, and those who were armed would only fire a couple shots at absolutely nothing. The only time I took damage was when I was a bit too close to my own grenade. I was hoping for a fun experience, but was completely let down by this map.

This map has a unique and great city settings. Mission is good, re-playability is high.
Custom weapons are not quite polished, but the stock weapons are also there to choose instead. Crazy firefights, with bots chasing you. Supporting marines are a bit dumb, but they do a great job diverting enemy fire.
